What’s Your Daily MO (Method of Operation) For Success
With any marketing effort staying focused is of paramount importance.
My purpose in writing this blog post is once again to share marketing tips and techniques that you may find helpful in your quest for online marketing success.
Okay, fair question right?
No matter who you are I'm sure you're wanting to achieve a certain level of financial success. That level is quite different for everyone. For some it's just a weekly paycheck, pay the bills, have a little left over, and the company match in the 401K. I call this the 40/40 plan. 40 hours a week for 40 years and then we get to have a little fun. Nothing wrong with that plan, mind you, just not for everyone. But if you want to move from the 40/40 plan to the Dream Plan, you have to be willing to master the mundane.
For others it's quite different. I know....you've got those big dreams, big house, fine cars, long dreamy days on the beach....
Just one problem. How do we get from the 40/40 plan to the Dream Plan?
That's where your DMO, or daily method of operations kicks in. That's where you have to put together a game plan of daily mundane activities that you perform religiously day in and day out.
Here is a list of some of the activities that may be on your list.
- send out tweets
- make posts on Facebook
- add new friends on Twitter and Facebook
- send out emails and respond to emails
- create new autoresponder campaigns
- post comments on blogs and forums
- write blog posts
- write articles promoting your program
- follow-up with prospects
- create videos for your blog and YouTube channel
- build capture pages
- make personal contacts on a daily basis. Have a numeric goal in mind
...and the list goes on and on.
It can get a little overwhelming. Trust me....I'm pretty techie, and for several years I've suffered with all the little mundane details trying to put something together that works.
That's where tying into a system is absolutely necessary. Especially if you're like most folks and trying to build your business part-time. If you don't have a system to help, especially with your online effort, you're doomed to failure. It's that simple. My system, which I affectionately named, Master The Mundane, is really taking shape, and working flawlessly.
Another key factor to your success is having a mentor, or a group of mentors that can help keep you focused and on track. They can offer a great sounding board and help shorten the time needed to achieve your level of success.
So to sum it up, first you need to create your daily "to do" list. And recognize that this list is not etched in stone. It can change as you grow and mature in your business.
Then as the Nike commercial says, "just do it".
If you're struggling with putting together your system, I'd love to share what I'm using. It works for any company and any opportunity, and also provides it's own revenue streams.
