Poker Training Network Review – Part 2 – Products
When marketing online, staying focused is key.
My purpose in writing this post is once again to share marketing tips and techniques that you may find helpful in your quest for online marketing success.
In the last post we looked at the Poker Training Network management. There were no red flags and the management team has adequate experience both in business and network marketing. Next it's important to have a consumable, early to market product. What that means is the company is the first or one of the first to bring the product to market and users of the product will use it month after month providing potential for residual income.
2) Product
The product is poker training software, a poker training site, an affiliate back-office, and a soon to be released magazine.
Well, I personally have put together almost 2 dozen web sites over the years, so I know a little about web design. The PTN web site is outstanding. Professionally done, easy to navigate, the videos produced by the company are stellar, AND....they are still in prelaunch. Soft launch began in September of 2009 and prelaunch kicked off on March 1, 2010.
It's not a "me too" product. Not another vitamin, or drink, or any number of products that has 1,000's of other companies to compete with. At this time the Poker Training Network is the only MLM company that has melded poker and network marketing together.
No shipping cost, and from what I understand, the ability to market worldwide once payment and recording processes get established in each country.
And in a matter of a few weeks they will be launching an app for Facebook. The current Facebook poker app, Zynga poker, has amassed almost 40 million users in under 2 years. Talk about potential. So the market segment for the product is huge. 300 million worldwide poker players...400 million Facebook users...the only company of it's type.
The question though is do people actually buy this type of product? Just do a search on poker training sites and you'll see dozens of sites that allow you to pay a monthly fee to train and become better at poker, and the price is right in line with the Poker Training Network's price.
Basically, the PTN product is designed through the use of technology enhanced technology to act as your private poker coach.
Also, you can try out the poker room they have set up (beta version) at http://www.callingallplayers.com
So, product score 5 of 5.
Next post will deal with the compensation plan of the Poker Training Network.
