Poker Training Network Review – Product Update
With any type of marketing staying focused is key.
My purpose in writing this blog post is once again to share marketing tips and techniques that you may find helpful in your quest for online marketing success.
Well, I put my training to task last night at a live poker event in downtown Memphis. I've never played outside of home games and games among friends until last night. To say the least I was a little nervous because every game has it's own little quirks. The training I've received from the Poker Training Network modules really came into play.
The event was at a little tavern on Monroe street called Bardogs. They have poker night every Wednesday, and they were actually having a final table event capping off an 8 week tournament. The rest of us that showed played for gift cards to the club.
There were two tables, totaling 12 players, and after about an hour and a half, I was chip leader at my table with only 3 players left. We merged with the 2 players left at the last table and after about another hour I was playing heads up with Jack.
We went back and forth for a while with Jack go all-in blind several times. I wasn't going to be sucked in. He kept showing his cards which were junk, and finally I went all in with a Q6 off suit. Bad timing. Jack had pocket aces. A 6 came on the flop so I was hoping for another 6 but it didn't come.
I had a blast and came in second. Got a $25 gift card, and already making plans to return and play again. I'll definitely be honing up on the lessons dealing with playing heads up. I was in an unfamiliar zone there for sure.
Until next time...T
