Testing Twitterfeed
With any type of marketing staying on task is key.
The purpose of this blog is to share marketing tips and techniques that I discover in the hope of opening your mind to what's out there.
One thing I'm learning about social media is that the description of the internet being the "world wide web" is fitting. The internet is truly like a giant spider web. The social "web" of sites like Twitter, Plaxo, YouTube, Facebook, Myspace, Plurk, and the list goes on and on is mind boggling.
Some level of automation is necessary or there won't be enough hours in the day. Social bookmarking sites like SocialPoster and SocialMarker allow you to post articles to multiple sites like digg and StumbleUpon. Getting the picture, it's a jungle out there. Oh and don't forget sites like TubeMogul that let you upload videos to multiple sites.
But you have to beg the question. What is the point? The point is connection. Whether it's for the point of just meeting and interacting with people with similar interests, or wanting to market products or services the point is the same. Making connections.
Thus, the reason for looking at Twitterfeed. It's a simple service that simply looks at your blog or blogs and when you post something new it sends a tweet. Just a simple automation of a process that can save you a few minutes. Isn't that the whole point of computers? Automating tasks that are a little on the mundane side to allow us to be more involved with the creative juice flow. LOL
Anyway, the first tweet you see from Twitterfeed (if it works as advertised) will be this post.
Enjoy, and let's set how it works.
