Tweetvisor – A Browser Client For Twitter

tweetvisor

I have really been getting into Twitter. I began “tweeting”, as it’s called, on the 22nd of January 2009. As of this posting I have about 1,050 “followers”. That’s the people who have opted to follow my tweets.

There are an amazing number of apps out there for Twitter and I won’t go into all of them. As I find more I’ll post links, but for now just do a google search and you’ll find plenty.

I do want to mention one app, Tweetvisor. It’s a browser based client that allows you to tweet and view your friends timeline. The basic Twitter site is a bit bland. So almost everyone uses a third party app to follow the flow. That’s what Twitter has been likened to…the flow of a river. Always moving. You just drop by from time to time and enjoy the activity.

Tweetvisor simply has several added bells and whistles that aren’t available with Twitter. For example, you can create search terms and then save them in Tweetvisor. This is very handy when you’re trying to find like-minded folks on Twitter to connect with.

It also auto-refreshes you’re @replies (messages sent directly to your attention) and DM’s, or direct messages.

All in all I’m finding Tweetvisor to be very enjoyable, and in fact I’m using it so much I was Tweetvisor’s Power User of the Day for two days in a row.

Made me wonder if anyone else was actually using it those days. LOL

  • thanks 4 the tip tony. just used tweetvisor. its much better than twitters basic page. i have just found private messages from months ago ! and its only showing posts that are relevant. main problem with twitter you can miss important stuff if you are not there all the time (i’m not- i have a life)! marc
